Malware is a collective term used for computer infections, viruses, Trojans, spyware, rootkits, worms, and other infections that may get downloaded on your device without coming into your notice. All of these infections are designed to steal your personal information, track your online activities, damage crucial PC components, and others. To overcome such threats, you will require a smart malware scanner and virus removal program that can keep infections at bay.

Malwarebytes Free Anti-Malware suite is popular for its amazing virus detection, blocking, and removal properties. The security software is available for free, but you can purchase its premium version for availing real-time protection against Internet threats. The program comes with some latest technologies and security parameters that can help you in finding hidden threats and removing them completely from your device. The security suite may experience some uncertain performance issues that may keep the security gates open to vulnerable threats.

Read below to know about two lesser known issues that may infringe the security shield of Malwarebytes Free Anti-Malware. You can take benefits from the tutorial to fix the same.

Issue1: Unable to Restrict Access for Certain Features in Malwarebytes

Sometimes you may feel that you should restrict access to certain features of the program to enjoy unmatched security. Adding restricted access policies to security features will help you to stay protected for long. Adding ‘Access Policy’ to the security suite will help in ensuring that no infection or malware author can disable the program without your permission.

Follow these tips to add restrict access to certain features in Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 2.0:

Launch the security software and click the ‘Settings’ button.

Click the ‘Access Policies’ option, and then click ‘Add.’

Check the settings you would like to restrict access to, under the ‘Accessibility Options’ section.

Now, type the name of your policy in the ‘Policy Name’ field.

Enter a password and click ‘OK.’

The new Access Policy will get constructed and get applied immediately.

If any user tries to access restricted features, then he will require providing the relevant password.

If the security suite detects a wrong password, then it will immediately block the access to the features.

Tips for Adding Restricted Access Feature in Malwarebytes Version 1.75 or Lower:

Launch the security software and click the ‘Settings’ button.

Click the ‘General Settings’ option and select ‘Set Password.’

Enter your desired password and retype it to confirm.

Click ‘OK’ to apply the changes the program will stop sending notifications about BitTorrent or other peer-to-peer programs.

Method2: Add a Web Exclusion to Stop Blocking a Website or Network Program

Launch MBAM 2.0 and click the ‘Settings’ button.
